  ________

Lucifer. The King of Hell. The demon who started a war that has lasted for millennia… is my daughter’s mate. She’s two months old and I’m already freaking out over her future. Trying to stay sane, I focus on packing up the SUVs to head to the airport to fly to Paris. We decided after we had a quiet lunch, to go ahead with our plans and head to the Disney park and my Paris estate. My staff, Gerard, Maggie, and Malek, are already there awaiting our arrival, and it’s not like there’s anything we could do in the near future about these new revelations.

Richard, Mark’s dad and the God of Thunder, showed up this morning to warn us about Lucifer’s arrival. Arrive he did, along with Nathan, the bane of my existence for the last three plus years. He’s one of the men that survived after killing Mark’s and my parents. Well, or so we thought, since Mark’s parents are alive and living in the Heavenly realm with my birth parents. I finally met them a few months ago when my goddess powers unlocked after I birthed Luna.

After Lucifer found that Luna was his mate, he proceeded to kill Nathan and the five heads of the council.

I finish packing up the car and wait in the backseat with Luna and several of the familiars and wait for the men to get a move on. “Finally.” I huff and buckle my seat belt.

Collins rolls his eyes. “You were waiting for five minutes.” I glare at my former headmaster and relax into my seat. He still has to work at the Goddess Academy for at least another five years before he can retire, if he even wants to.

The other men split up between the two vehicles and we head off; I nap on the way there, and when we arrive, I stumble through check in, then we get settled on the jet. I’m buckling in Luna’s car seat when I hear heels clicking, coming closer to where I’m seated.

“Nancy!” I smile over to one of my stewardesses that is usually on the flights with us. She’s adorable with her blonde hair in a tight bun, bright green eyes alight with happiness, and dressed in a slim fitting navy uniform with red heels.

“Hi Maya! We’ll be ready to go in about ten minutes. Let me see that precious baby!” She walks over and smiles down at Luna before checking that the others are settled. “I’ll be along after we are leveled out to take your drink orders. It’s a short flight so I didn’t plan for meals.” We all nod at her and she takes her seat by the cockpit.

We touch down less than an hour and a half later, then we’re walking down the stairs to where Gerard is waiting to pick us up. “I’m glad you were able to make it, Ms. Strom. What a busy day.” He’s essentially the butler for the estates that were passed down to me when I turned eighteen. He looks to be around fifty to sixty years old, with his silver hair, warm brown eyes, and always wearing a suit. He’s a warlock, so I have no idea what his true age is, and I don’t ask. He smiles kindly at me and helps load up the stretch limo that will fit all of us and our luggage. We will be here for a week before we head back to London, so we didn’t bring as much as we have on our longer vacations.

I wince. “It was interesting.” We drive for about half an hour before we are pulling up a private drive to a one-story villa that overlooks the Eiffel Tower. It’s gorgeous and looks to be a lot older than my other estates we have traveled to. There’s greenery all around the grounds and the large, white wooden door is open, showing casing a smiling Maggie waving at us from the entryway. There are floor to ceiling windows all along the front of the off-white home that shows off a bright and welcoming interior. As we walk in, I smile at all of the artwork around the foyer. The floors are all white marble, the walls are a light gray, and the layout is similar to the island home. Past the foyer is the sitting room and kitchen, to the right is the master and guest wing, and to the left is for the staff and surveillance rooms. We have a quick tour and get settled in our rooms.

“I feel like I never want to leave here, the views are gorgeous.” I stare out the window from my bedroom and imagine what it will look like here at night. Mark and Nolan are unpacking Luna’s bassinet, floor mats, and toys while I get her changed and fed.

“I know, this will be a
relaxing week. At least when we aren’t tiring ourselves out at the Disney park.” Mark gives me a huge smile and kisses us on the cheek before he walks out. Mark has been my best friend since we were five, over fourteen years. He’s my tallest mate at six-foot-six, with dark brown hair that’s slightly curled over the tips of his ears, brilliant emerald eyes, and stacked with muscles. We’ve been lovers for around six years now and I couldn’t have chosen a better father for our daughter. We own a club together with the twins and we are about to open a new magic shop in London, once the construction is complete.

Nolan groans as he lays down on the bed next to me. “We’re not going to the park today, right?”

I chuckle at him while I flick his ear. “No, you shit, we’re going tomorrow. And the next day… and the next day…” He rolls his eyes and throws his arm over his face. I take a minute to stare at him. His brother Graham looks like a replica of him with just different colored eyes. They’re both around six-foot-three, with bright red hair that’s cut short, and lean, muscled frames. Nolan has gray eyes, whereas Graham has a blue-gray mix. Nolan was my Runes professor when Mark and I were still attending the Goddess Academy, and Graham is in our year.

“Fine.” He falls asleep at the same time Luna does, so I settle her in her bassinet and leave them both in the master. I walk around looking for the others and get sidetracked in the kitchen, where Malek has set out appetizers.

“It’s like you read my mind.” I sit down and eat a bunch of cheese, crackers, and fruit, while staring out the window watching the breeze sway the trees. “Is there a gym or a pool here?”

Malek smiles at me, “Just a pool in the back, go take a look.” He’s the chef that was hired along with Gerard and Maggie; he looks to be about thirty, he has black hair, brown eyes, and is a few inches taller than my five-foot-five frame. He’s always in casual t-shirts and jeans, and we love to have dance parties around the kitchen; he also started working out with us after I had the gym built in the backyard at home.

I finish up my snacks and wave at him while I walk through the sitting room and out the back door. Huh. The backyard has two levels, the top is a covered deck with a sitting area and a barbeque, and there are stairs that lead down to an outdoor pool and jacuzzi. There’s lounge chairs, tables, and umbrellas surrounding the sides of the pool. The rest of my men are sitting around the loungers drinking beer and talking.

“Hey baby, is Luna asleep?” Troy asks me when he looks over his shoulder and sees me walking toward them. Troy and Ross are identical twins, and my adoptive brothers. We lived together until I was five, then they moved to London to live with their aunt and uncle. I didn’t remember them at all when Mark set up a dinner with them on my eighteenth birthday after we moved to London. Apparently, my birth parents gave instructions to the Strom’s to separate us while I bonded with Mark after his family moved in next door.

“Yep, along with a whiny Nolan.” I take a seat on his lap and close my eyes. The guys are talking about traveling around the city and sightseeing before we leave, while I sip my beer and start to fall asleep.

“Come on, let’s take a nap.” Troy picks me up and takes my beer and hands it off to Ross. He carries me through the house and opens the bedroom door with his elbow and settles me down in the bed next to Nolan. I fall asleep after he relaxes down next to me and gives me a kiss on the head.

“Mama, wake up, I’m hungry!” I hear a manly, high-pitched voice cooing in my ear. I slowly open my eyes and Nolan is leaning over me, propping Luna’s sweet face near mine. I smile, and cuddle her in bed to feed her. I look out the window and see that the sun went down.

“Mmm. Dinner time?” I ask while I cradle Luna and start to sit up.

“Yep. We’re all getting ready to sit down. Come to the living room when you’re finished.” He gives me a kiss on the head and leaves the room. Through the open door I hear the laughter of my men. Ah, they’ve still been drinking all day. Rolling my eyes and finishing up with Luna, we head in and I take my seat next to Mark and start stealing food from his plate.

He glares at me, “Your food is right in front of you.” He huffs and takes Luna so I can grab my plate.

I smile sweetly at him, “I know, but yours always looks better.” Malek barks out a laugh from the kitchen and he joins us for the rest of dinner. Maggie and Gerard are sitting out on the patio under the twinkling fairy lights and I smile. I’ve seen how both Malek and Gerard stare at Maggie when no one is looking, I wonder if they’ve been together for all of the years they were waiting for me to claim the estates. We finish up and we all shower and get ready for bed. Luna decides it’s more fun to stay awake, so we cuddle in bed and I talk to her about all the fun we’ll be having at Disney, I can’t wait to continue on these trips as she gets older.

“Do you have everything?” Mark sleepily mumbles to me while we amble to the SUV that’s parked in the front of the house, that Gerard rented for us. I nod and get Luna and I settled in. I take another bite of my muffin that Malek baked this morning and look down to Luna and smile, she’s getting so chunky. She looks like a perfect mix of Mark and me, with her brown and purple hair, violet and green eyes, my button nose, and Mark’s plump lips. Her cheeks are pink from the chilly air and she’s asleep making little snores. I dressed her in a Disney shirt, black pants, and a Disney cap to get us all in the spirit. I forced all of my men into the personalized shirts I had made a few weeks back, and not surprisingly, Ross and Collins were the hardest to convince. Not even my pouting or showing them Luna’s cute outfit was working at first, I had to promise sexual favors. Laughing to myself I close my eyes while we wait for the others.

Ross and Troy make it in, finally, and crawl into the third row, next to a sleeping Graham. I smile at them and wink. As identical twins it would be hard to tell apart if they were more alike. They’re both six-foot-one with dark brown hair and eyes, with hot, muscular builds. Ross wears his hair cut short and swept to the side, whereas Troy’s hair is grown out over his eyes and always messy. They own a PI business, along with two clubs, Killian’s, and Love, Maya. The second one is the club that Mark and I invested into with them.

Collins and Nolan get settled into the front, both of them chugging coffee and grumbling about being up so early, and we make the drive to Disney! The sun is barely coming up, but I didn’t want to wait in a long line to get in. I already have all of our yearly passes scanned into our phones, so we don’t have to buy tickets or fast passes.

We spent the day walking around, shopping, and eating. We take turns shielding Luna in her baby carrier and had her covered with a blanket. As supernaturals, and especially with some goddess genes in Mark, Luna, and me, we don’t catch illnesses, but I still don’t want people touching her. Strangers freak me the fuck out.

After a few more hours of splitting up and going on a majority of the rides, we eat one last meal and head back to the villa. Nolan groans from the front seat of the car, “Do we really have to go back again tomorrow?”

“You don’t have to. But Mark, Luna and I are going! Aren’t we, Mark?” I look over to him and give him a glare. He nods and hums under his breath before closing his eyes and going to sleep. “Anyone else going to be a spoilsport?”

Graham kisses me on the back of my head from where he’s seated in the third row, “I’ll come along. I want more churros.” I chuckle at him and I hold Luna’s hand on the drive home.

Troy smirks at me and winks, so I assume my man-child will still want to come back to the park tomorrow. He went on the most rides and spent an insane amount of money at each shop we passed. The trunk of our car is filled with stuffed animals, toys, clothes, toy swords, and an assortment of backpacks and purses he thought I would like. I freaking love them. A few are big enough to use as a diaper bag for Luna, so I’ll be organizing one to take with us tomorrow.

We spend the night soaking our sore bodies in the jacuzzi after Luna is settled for the night, and we go to sleep a lot earlier than usual, passing out as soon
as we lay down in the bed.

The rest of the week was tiring. Mark, Graham, Troy, and I ended up going to Disney with Luna three days in a row. The others toured the city, bought a ton of mementos, art pieces, and clothes from the designer shops. Instead of doing the same on the remaining days, we stayed at the villa. We swam, relaxed in the jacuzzi, watched TV, and napped. Paris is gorgeous and lively, maybe we can go to the Eiffel Tower next trip. Nolan had a blast showing me all of the photos he took while they toured the city, and they even ate at a café that’s in the Eiffel Tower. Assholes.

We get home late on Friday night and stumble up to our rooms to sleep after eating the takeout dinner Malek ordered in. Instead of leaving early, I talked Gerard, Maggie, and Malek into leaving at the same time, I hate it when they miss out when we travel. I shooed them out of the house the last two days we were there so they could go shop and tour the city. Every time I try to send them on a vacation, they dodge me or steer the conversation away, they say that all of the trips we go on are enough for them.

Maybe I can be sneaky and set up a “vacation for the family” and just never show up. Mentally shrugging, I start looking at resorts I think would be relaxing for them while I lay in bed feeding Luna, waiting for her to fall asleep so I can move her to her bassinet. Mark and I had a blast at a resort in Fiji last year, I wonder if they would like something like that. Maybe Malek will spill something if I pass him enough alcohol.
